BITSAT Counselling 2023: BITS, Pilani conducts BITSAT 2023 counselling for the candidates, who qualify in the BITSAT 2023 exam. Check BITSAT 2023 counselling dates, seat allotment and admission process.
BITSAT 2023 counselling and seat allotment procedure will begin in the 3rd week of May 2023. Apart from applying and appearing in BITSAT 2023 exam, the candidate has to register online for BITSAT 2023 counselling procedure to get a seat in BITS. The BITSAT application form to register for counselling is available at the official website – www.bitsadmission.com.
The seat allotment process is also termed as iteration. The 1st round of iteration will start in June 2023. Seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of merit and the preference order of the candidates. It should be noted that BITS offer direct admission to the state and board toppers.
Candidates can register themselves for BITSAT counselling from end of May to end of June 2023. The counselling procedure will end in the last week of July 2023.
Candidates who qualify the BITSAT 2023 can fill the registration form for counselling procedure through online mode only.
It should be kept in mind that the registration form should be submitted along with the 12th class mark sheet as it is mandatory to score 75% marks in the 12th standard to be eligible to get seat in BITS. Along with it they have to enter the preferences of colleges & courses they are eager to get admission in.
BITSAT Counselling 2023 – Process
Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) conducts BITSAT 2023 counselling for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes in BITS Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. Counselling process has five iteration rounds, where students will get admissions/seats based on their choices in each round. It also provide direct admissions for board exam toppers without counselling.
Candidates who have cleared class 12th exam in 2019 to 2023 with 75% marks in PCB/PCM and have qualified the BITSAT 2023 are eligible to take part in the counselling procedure.
Step by Step process of BITSAT 2023 counselling:
Step 1: Registration for BITSAT counselling 2023
The very first step to be done by the candidate is BITSAT registration for counselling. The candidates have to fill the personal details which are as follows –
- Name of the candidate
- Mobile Number
- Email ID
- Category
Next, the candidate has to enter all the educational details of class 12th in BITSAT 2023 counselling admission form. Students should check the information entered by him/her twice as there is no scope of or correction later. In case the 12th standard result is not announced, then the aspirants will have to provide the same details later.
Step 2: College and Course Selection by the applicant
This step is important as the candidates will be selecting the desired course & college & also the allotment will be done on the basis of preferences also. So the candidates while choosing the options. Now the candidates will have to get the print out of the application form of BITSAT 2023 counselling & send it to the following address through registered / speed post along with other documents of class 12th –

Step 3: Seat Allotment
The candidates can check their seat allotment process or iteration process online. Allotment of seats will be done according to the performance of the candidate in the BITSAT 2023, preference of the applicant during registration process. The list of candidates who will be allotted seats will be released online. The registered candidates who will not be able to get seat in this round will be listed out in the wait list.
Candidate can follow the given steps to check their allotted seat –
- The candidates have to enter the application for number & password & click on “submit” button.
- The Seat allotment status can be seen on the computer screen.
Step 4: Reporting at allotted institute
The candidates who have allotted seat will have to report at the allotted institute to confirm their admission. The authority will verify the documents of candidates, which they have to bring with themselves. Payment of fees should be done at the same time to confirm the admission process. Failure to show the original documents or payment of admission fees will ultimately cancel the seat of the applicant.

BITS yet to announce BITSAT counselling schedule for 2023. It’s likely to be started in June 2023.
BITSAT 2023 direct admission
The BITS Pilani ensures the admission to all 1st rank holders in their respective board examinations. The only condition they have to fulfill is to score 75% marks in PCM/PCB subjects in class 12th. The candidate should be state or central board topper.
BITSAT 2023 Waiting List
As per BITSAT 2023 merit list, the seats will be assigned to the applicants. The waiting list will be considered for next round of seat distribution procedure.
The candidates who got the lower ranks in merit list will be called in 2nd, 3rd or 4th rounds of counselling in the decreasing order of their ranks in the merit list until the seats are filled.
If the allotted seat is not candidates 1st preference, then they will remain on the waiting list for the up-gradation, till all the admissions are finalized.
There is also a provision for opt out of the race of programs offered at other campuses. It can be done after reporting to allotted institute. In this scenario, you will be considered only for programs of your higher preference offered at the campus you have already joined.
BITSAT 2023 admission of international students
Those students who have given SAT can also be eligible for admission SAT subject tests led by college board (USA) for admission to various degree programs at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. Admission will be made purely on the basis of score got by an applicant in SAT in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
Offer letter will be sent only to eligible candidates in 2nd week of June 2023. Within 10 days they have to pay the semester fee & accept the offer letter. They have to apply for VISA by using admission letter sent by BITS Pilani.

How to register for BITSAT counselling 2023?
BITSAT counselling for admissions to all undergraduate engineering programs will conduct in online mode on official website. Students have to register online by submitting BITSAT rank, basic details and paying counselling fee.
How many seats are there in BITSAT counselling 2023?
Currently BITS has over 2000 seats in 3 campuses of Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa. Qualified candidates in BITSAT exam and board exam toppers are eligible to get admissions in BITS through BITSAT counselling.
What about Iteration rounds in BITSAT counselling?
BITS will conduct BITSAT counselling in 5 rounds, in each Iteration round, students will get admissions based on their chice of engineering program and campus.
What is BITS admission process for board exam toppers?
Board exam toppers can get direct admission to BITS, where they need not to register for regular BITSAT counselling. A separate notification will release for them to attend for direct admission with relevant documents. Toppers have to reach their favorite BITS campus, then select preferred engineering program and get direct admission.
